Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experience with us.

I fully agree.

When I was a child, we had all these relatives and friends-of-the-family reunions during the holiday season. It was always a fixed schedule when and who is coming. And it was quite stressful.

Today — having already lost 80% of my family and having no life partner — I have all my time to relax and to decide what I am doing and what friends I am meeting. There is no pressure anymore. It is my own decision, and thus, it gives more valuable time for all: for me as well as my friends.

And it is not that I am just selfishly making decisions on what to do. Now, I am making my decision based on where I can bring the most value for all. And that is discussed with my friends.

We should all be more decisive with our time. Just being with our relatives/family/friends because we must, does not add any value to anybody.
