Thank you for sharing your experience.

I was now for two months confined at home, and I am living in the countryside. And I have radically changed my habits. I became aware of what is essential for me, not only on the consumption side but what do I need for physical and mental health and satisfaction. It is not a lot.

My spending did not necessarily decrease so enormously, but it shifted to more quality and healthy food and equipment that makes my life more comfortable at home and in the garden.

Interestingly, I also do not miss most of my personal interactions with people. Either, we are very good friends and talking by phone or by video streaming does not change our proximity (and we know there will be once an end), or the relationship is not so strong such that it is nice to talk, but it doesn’t matter if it is in person or by video.

But I am missing a few things. Even though these are material things, it is the experience connected to them, that I am missing. A canceled Sweden Rock Festival does not just mean, not seeing the acts and your friends. It means, more importantly, not having the experience associated with traveling by car over long distances and by the ferries, lovely sunrises and sunsets over the sea, the beautiful flowers along the roads, the sceneries, and having a rest beneath the old oak trees.
