My Japanese Aikido master always told us: safe falling is the most critical defense technique.
Because of that, we have to practice many hours of falling in the safe environment of training.
It has two meanings: physically, to defend your body, when you are falling while walking or running.
Mentally, because you are used to falling and rising again, you are just stand up and continue with your task.
The same applies to failing.
