In the corporate world, more and more the practice is growing, that there is no distinction anymore between working time and leisure time.

Modern technology makes it possible to work nearly anywhere and at any time.

It becomes custom to request tasks on Friday afternoon with a deadline by Monday noon.

Another emerging trend is to have so many business calls for the whole week. I could spend up to 60 hours a week only attending such calls. And if I am not attending specific calls, then I get reprimanded.

It does not matter what you are doing; it is always wrong.

Either you are reprimanded, or you have to perform your tasks during your time off.

Therefore, my advice is to do what you are thinking is the best for you. You will always take the “wrong” choice. Look for your mental and physical health first.
